What you license

Publishing an app on Speck licenses its prompt and its prototype to anyone under the MIT license, quoted below. That is what makes building and remixing work: anyone can hand your prompt to their tool, and a member can take your prototype, change it, and publish the result as their own app.

What stays yours

The app’s name, its screenshots and your prose — the blurb and description — stay yours. They are not covered by the license above, and copying them is not remixing.

You keep the copyright in everything you publish. This license grants a right to use it; it does not transfer ownership, and nothing here stops you licensing the same work to anyone else on any terms you like.

Remixing

A remix records where it came from, and both pages show the link. Say what you changed in the remix note. Attribution is automatic, so the only thing asked of a remixer is honesty about what they altered.
